They may wait until after the election, either assuming they keep the House or during the brief lame-duck session if they lose.
In any case, the time for witnesses is in the Senate committee hearings, not in a prolonged impeachment trial.

Do you really think people will pay attention to Impeachment: The Redux? Unless Trump does something really stupid (and he won’t) it may even be laughed at by CNN. That said, I almost hope they go for it. It will do nothing but help Trump.
