I wouldn’t eat a bat either, but most bat species eat insect and fruit eaters, and they certainly aren’t birds.

When you think of all the countries that are vulnerable and consider the virulence of viral threats mating India with a virus as communicable as the common cold and a fertile breeding ground like India what we do about all this matters very little in the greater scheme of things. We’re catching “bookies” in a small pristine creek in the Rockies while India and China are bringing blue fin tuna over the gunwhale in terms of risk.
