A China quarantine means Apple loses 90% of its sales immediately. It’s not just an issue of final assembly. Huge numbers of components are built only in China. Efficient but risky from a redundancy perspective. One hiccup (i.e. a war with China, or a virulent epidemic, if the nurse’s claims are true), and production goes off a cliff.
i suspect Apple and Goggle are trying to down play this for a buck .
Chinese Apple plants should not be open if this is true .
A two week incubation period is scary .
