The caption on the video of the woman in protective gear stated 90,000 infected, not dead. There is no information as to her credibility and some question about whether she said infected or dead. The estimate of 90,000 dead is questionable at best. My Chinese language skills are non-native and rusty since I acquired them Berlitz-style via expensive classes decades ago. But the phrase she used was 九万多人死 - jiu wan duo ren si - (courtesy of Google translate) or 90,000 dead. Maybe she misspoke. Maybe she thought that's what the numbers were, but she was wrong. But 90,000 dead was what she said in the video.

"人次" not "人死", plus it's entire probably she said "几万 and not "九万". In which case what she said was "cases in the tens of thousands", and not "ninety thousand deaths". I think the former is much more in line with the tone of her entire statement.
