We (the public) don’t have much information to base any decision on, and what information we do have can be untrue.
We can assume that Xi Jinping is getting more information (and perhaps more accurate) and he decides to issue a warning, then we should take him serious.
We will not get the true numbers out of China.
However, the virus has already been carried around the world.
If the death toll around the world begins to rise it will not be kept a secret for long. Either way we will know more in about two weeks.
