Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? That’s what Stabenow (Rat-MI) claimed on Cavuto in the post-game coverage.
Please tell me he doesn’t have that kind of power..

Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? Here is a statement from Senator Kennedy (R-La)that I read on Roll Call : The chief justice is not the judge. Hes the presiding officer. There are no standards of proof. There are no rules of evidence,..."And every senator, unless we pass a new rule by 51 votes in the Senate, is entitled to approach it his own way.

Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? No - he doesn't have that authority.
