Can Roberts REALLY unilaterally force witnesses in his sole discretion? That’s what Stabenow (Rat-MI) claimed on Cavuto in the post-game coverage.

Please tell me he doesn’t have that kind of power..

Not a lawyer, but that is BS. He is just the referee for the trial. He could render a legal opinion if legal questions about a witness subpoena came up.

Here is a statement from Senator Kennedy (R-La)that I read on Roll Call : “The chief justice is not the judge. He’s the presiding officer. There are no standards of proof. There are no rules of evidence,”..."And every senator, unless we pass a new rule by 51 votes in the Senate, is entitled to approach it his own way.”
