This is cracking me up. I’ve been on the jury for two long technical trials (both went four weeks). In both cases, after the plaintiff made their case I thought the plaintiff would win easily.
Both times, after hearing both sides, I found against the plaintiff.

I’ve done 100s of trials over 35 years. Whenever my client is the one going second he/she is so depressed and thinks it’s a lost cause. I preferred going second. Sure, the other side gets to rebut new evidence but by then the trier of fact is thinking about what groceries to buy on the way home.
