I wish the Republican response started on Monday, not Saturday. CBS, for example, will never preempt college basketball and golf to cover the trial. There will undoubtedly be people who saw the entire prosecution, but will see only part of the defense, at best. Wait until Monday, since the networks have already demonstrated a willingness to preempt regular weekday programming. They would have no excuse to not offer similar coverage to the Republicans.

Hopefully a number of sound bite worthy moments.

I have a clear memory of a year when all the networks covered the full three days of the Dem’s nominating convention. When the Republicans had their convention a few weeks later, the networks said that they had changed their minds about coverage and covered only a few hours of the final day.

. It would not surprise me at all if the networks, even CNN andMSNBC , show far less of the defense. Even when they do cover it,they know how to go to a commercial when something very damaging to Dems is being said.
