Sure would have been a perfect place to get recalls signed a very captive audience!!! ONE DAY!!!
I did see one petition booth. But understand this, for 4 blocks in every direction around the Capitol Building, people were standing very tightly shoulder to shoulder. It took my group 20 minutes to go the 45 feet from the entrance of the Commonwealth Hotel to the nearest corner (Broad St.?) through the crowd. i doubt if there was anyone roaming through the crowd with the petition.
