I’m citing poetic license here, since I’m dealing with a fictional character and a character I wish was fictional.
That being said, the Bonanza map is wrong. Lake Tahoe is about 2/3 in California.

The Local, State and Federal Governments in this Republic seems to have forgotten they work for us and not the other way around. The problem is they have gotten so large no one dares challenge them any more.....including the Propaganda...I mean Public School Systems.

Funny how they never sing this stanza from “This Land is Your Land”

As I went walking I saw a sign there,
And on the sign it said “No Trespassing.”
But on the other side it didn’t say nothing.
That side was made for you and me.

/////////////////You’re right.

Or this rare stanza:

In the squares of the city, in the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office, I see my people
And some are grumblin’ and some are wonderin’
If this land’s still made for you and me.

///////
Who would have thought that the old Communist Party people in those NY cocktail parties for Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly and Pete Seegar would have offspring actually poised to take over the reins of government (already on the way to that in VT, VA,CA and soon the Sanders and AOC types going for the big prize unless we get out the vote to stop them.

“I wonder if Reagan’s Ranch up that way was part of it.”

No. Ronald Reagan bought his 640 acre retreat north of Santa Barbara, in the Santa Ynez Valley, many years before Hollister Ranch was subdivided.

Correction on my part: Rancho del Cielo is 688 acres, between the Santa Ynez Valley and the Pacific Ocean.

President Reagan spent a total of a full year at his ranch during his eight years in office.

I believe the Young Americans for Freedom give tours of the property and the 1,500 square foot adobe house, to the public.

The adobe house was built in 1872.

Lake Tahoe is like Lituya Bay, Alaska. Look up the history of the formation of McKenny Bay.
