All things considered, the right to trod upon the rights of others was not a cause worth shedding an Illinois politician’s blood in association with, especially since it bestowed upon him an unearned sainthood. Lincoln did do many tyranical things, but during a real state of emergency. Not some ginned up Reichstag fire like Northam is doing. But now the Latin motto is tarnished, despite its applicability. You are correct, He was right to end slavery.

Did you know there was union plans to assassinate Jefferson Davis. This I believe was approved by Lincoln.
