So what accounts for moronic drivel coming out of Charles' mouth? He's not very bright.

Poor Charles was ill treated, by his parents, all of his life! His mother was not only distant, but hardly ever there in his early years. His father made him go to unsuitable schools, because he father had gone to them and loved them. Then his father forbade him from marrying the love of his life, Camilla, and then forced him into marry that emotionally and mentally disturbed, uneducated, far too damned young for him...Diana.

And because Charles IS the heir, he couldn't really DO much of anything like a "job", his mother has only recently allowed him in on "stuff", and so that has left poor Charles with not only a LOT of time on his hands to be interested if dumb stuff ( "CLIMATE CHANGE MADNESS"! ), but he also became interested in and is quite good at other things, such as running his Duchy and architecture. Ergo...Charles is a mixed bag, happy now with Camilla, but will probably be 80 when he is crowned King; poor man.
