CNN, NBC, and Atlantic all took up the magic word "crossfire", shortly after they all chimed in with the magic word "off-ramp" describing the de-escalation. It's very clear that they're not independent voices but merely megaphones for talking points developed by others who (1) hate Trump, (2) hate the United States, and (3) don't mind telling lies to advance their narrative.
The actual military activity at that point consisted solely of Iranian shooting - first at the bases across the border in Iraq and second at a civilian airliner operating from a busy international airport. If that's a "crossfire" it's an Iranian one. To try to twist this one into moral equivalency is simply evil.

Typical of stupid liberals who have absolutely no idea about the nature of weaponry and shooting. "crossfire'' is when someone is shooting at you and you're shooting back. Moving in between those two converging lines of fire is getting caught in the crossfire.

The real story is who decided the word “crossfire” should be used here, and what precisely was the mechanism by which they communicated this to all those media flacks?

CNN, NBC, and Atlantic all took up the magic word "crossfire", shortly after they all chimed in with the magic word "off-ramp" The CIA might not refer to it's media control that was exposed decades ago as "Mockingbird" anymore, but for all intents and purposes, it is still large and in charge. Hence: MSM = Mockingbird State Media

The successor to Journ-O-List. Whatever they’re calling it now.
JournoList (sometimes referred to as the J-List) was a private Google Groups forum for discussing politics and the news media with 400 “left-leaning” journalists, academics and others. Ezra Klein created the online forum in February 2007 while blogging at The American Prospect and shut it down on June 25, 2010 amid wider public exposure.

I ripped Hennessey a new one on Twitter for trying to downplay the IG FISA report - got a ton of interactions for that one - even had a former DOJ numbskull try to claim there was no two-hop rule for FISA warrants even when I provided documentation for such with 702 searches tied to FISA warrants.
Hennessey is one of the worst Deep Staters in the media.
