Don't need it Iran declared war on US in 1979 when they attacked our Tehran embassy and have not rescinded that. Their attack on our embassy in Bagdad was just to remind us that the war continues.

The USA destroyed all of its Tomcats to keep the parts from flowing over there. There are some in museums and on static display.
The one I saw in a museum (video), the cockpit was almost totally stripped.
If you go to Wiki, supposedly Janes has estimates of about 60 F4 Phantoms, 20 F14 Tomcats and maybe 50 Russian fighters with a smattering of Chinese.

Your point that ground forces would have to remove the fuel from their nuclear facilities seems extremely problematic. There is no way Muslims would not leave these facilities booby-trapped 9 ways to hell. And the American people have no appetite for ground forces in Iran. Our NATO allies have no appetite for further major combat operations in the ME.
So the world will just wait until Iran detonates nuclear weapons on its enemies, which it will. Thank you Barack Obama Jr.
