Which means Democrats are playing partisan politics. They can’t explain why Trump should be treated differently from Clinton.

They voted for the rule in 1999.

Just went through the list of Democrat Senators who were there in 1999 to vote for the rules, and it’s Schumer, Durbin, Leahy, Feinstein, Wyden, Reed, and Murray. It will be interesting to see how they vote this time around.
