Right now, their leaders are wondering how the US tracked Soleimani’s movements, wondering if they are next, and are busy changing their cells phones, computers, and moving their money and mistresses to safer locations.
I work in Iraq. The locals I work with hate the Iranians. They were celebrating in Tahir Square the morning he got smoked.
I driven that road, on the airport property numerous times.
You are 100% right on the minds of Iran’s leadership and of the subversives that run Iraq now. Most of the guys that are running Iraq, and have been since Al Malicki, was “elected” spent considerable amounts of time in Iran. They and their families were not well liked by Hussein. He’s gone, they come back, backed by Iran and Iranian money and now Iran is using Iraq to try and evade sanctions and extorting them.
The militia’s are having their soldiers burn crops in Iraq, trying to force them to buy Iranian products.
The method that Soleimani used to get into Iraq was done to have him come in undetected. He didn’t come in on the commercial side of the airport. He was sneaking in. Or so he thought.
That air strike was a signal. It told the Iranian’s and Iraqi’s, that they can be smoked, anytime the President pushes the button. He knows where they are. What they’re doing. So, they may be keyboard commandos, now. But everyone of them is spending most of their time wondering if a JDAM is about to come through their roof.
I’d say bomb Iran back to the Stone Age, but they’re already living in the Stone Age.
I hope they realize that if they follow through with their threats, much of their country will end up being large shiny sheets of glass.

There is chatter about that postulates that this Soleimani character had actually been dead for some time. The idea is that Iran was keeping it quiet, for the same reason the Japanese would have liked to keep the death of Yamamoto quiet in WWII.
If this has credence then Trump was just waiting for the perfect moment to claim US forces had taken out Soleimani. Iran could hardly object since they would be admitting to their subterfuge.
There does seem to be a dearth of footage of Soleimani denigrating Trump these last few years. Indeed there seems to be rather scant recent footage of this revered Iranian patriot at all.
Israel has 6 Modern Dolphin class subs, versus Irans old russian Kilo’s. Isreal can do a whole lot of damage to the Iranian navy IF they catch them in or near a port. Plus they can equip their aircraft with torpedos and air to surface missiles.
And that is a.k.a. doubling down on stupid. The Israelis extracted physical records from inside Iran like most people go to the store. If the mullahcracy is still alive, it's because the Israelis have let them live until now.

An attack on Haifa and Defense bases in Israel seriously implies that Hezbollah will be used as the proxy for Iran.
However, at this stage a lot is likely propaganda designed to fear monger and not telegraphing actual attacks.
Yup. A good beginning would be to permanently submerge Iranian subs. We could accomplish that objective before lunch time.
