I was raised in the Episcopal Church; my father had had misgivings about what was happening to “his” church since the 1970s, and finally pulled us out of there in the early 90s.

Even though I look back on the worship and think it was more “empty forms” than anything genuinely heartfelt, I still miss it.

As a cradle Episcopalian who left and eventually became Catholic. I say you will find what you miss and more there.

I believe God can work even through an “empty” church.

All God needs is a willing heart in one person to do great and wonderful things in this world.

I have not found one church/group that gets it right (biblical) always. I heard on christian radio today that there are thousands of segments/groups professing to be christian so no sense squabbling over the lesser things we disagree on, we are all works in progress even if we’ve been in relationship with Jesus for decades.

We should be standing together on the important things and encouraging others to try Jesus because in the end it’s about people coming to Christ as their Savior and Lord that counts. Our focus should be pointing the way, what happens after that is between them and God.
