2019: The Left Goes Over the Edge
American Thinker.com ^ | January 3, 2020 | J.R. Dunn

The left has always been a movement in danger of going straight over the edge. You can see it in the rhetoric, the agenda, the public behavior, and the quality of people it attracts. Many of us have been waiting for years for it to blow up like a Soviet-era nuclear reactor. But although individual leftists have redlined (Hillary, Anthony Weiner, your name here), the movement as a whole has repeatedly pulled out before going into the abyss. There always seems to be a rescuing hand extended from somewhere or other. (More on that later.)

That’s why 2019 was such a satisfactory year – much more satisfactory than most. Because 2019 was the year that the left plunged toward oblivion, howling madly, engines exploding, and fuel tanks ablaze.

You voice doubts, comrades? Well then, come along with me for a short stroll through some of the highlights of the past twelve months.

The writer is too optimistic. The vast majority of Millenials have swallowed the Kool-Aid, and thusfar it appears that nothing that occurs in the real world is likely to dissuade them. Once we reach a demographic tipping point in the voter pool it will be Game Over unless some radical unforeseen change occurs.

Like the Millenials have a sudden attack of "growing up."

Or the men who joined the military in 2000 begin retiring this year, and on the merit of their hardwork, experience, work ethic, and determination begin taking leadership positions because they are a disciplinary and motivational cut above their peers.

I suspect that most millennials will take cues from them over the college influences which have held sway so far.

You do know what happened to the original Kool-Aid drinkers, don't you? Same fate awaits, though most will live to tell about it. I'm seeing signs of many in that age group waking up.

“some halfwit Republican would rise to the defense of “our friends across the aisle,””

Love it!

The author concludes...
2020 may be the year the left is smashed flat.
He's got his head in the clouds. We haven't yet killed international communism and we are far from killing it off. The leftists regroup and morph into new forms all the time, every one more virulent than the last. Their biggest accomplishment was taking over the education system and inculcating their horrific political system into two or three generations of Americans. With that base, there is no sign leftism is going to die. We are constantly on the edge of them winning. It was only an act of Divine Intervention that kept HRC out of the White House and foiled her effort to complete the "transformation" O'bastard started.

The only thing I would argue with is the human lemur statement - I would say “shaved lemur” with apologies to lemurs in general.

They are moving into their 30's while showing little sign of that, which terrifies me.

I fear that you are right.

But, Adam Schiff as "The Human Lemur" was worth the read.
