no sources are reporting this beyond a couple of tweets ... pretty thin gruel at this point ...

New York Magazine has it in this article.

"Shortly after the death of Suleimani, reports also emerged that U.S. marines captured two leaders of pro-Iranian militias in Iraq: Qais Khazali of Iraqi Hezbollah and Hadi Al Ameri, the alleged head of the Badr organization, the military wing of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council."

Fourth paragraph.

FReeper nuconvert posted this on the main thread:

“Badr Corps (Org.) denies arrest of Qais Khazali & Hadi Ameri. But there are evidences showing US Special Forces captured some high ranking officials of PMU (Hashd al-Shaabi) and IRGC-Quds Force in Baghdad’s Jadiriyah neighborhood.” ( Babak Taghvaee )

uh, that’s just an echo chamber echo of the original tweet if you bothered to follow the link labeled “reports” ... there’s now quite a few of those “report” echos being “reported” ...

BUT, so far, NO additional information beyond just the original couple of tweets ...
