Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is demanding new documents and whole new witness list before the House's articles of impeachment reach the Senate and they can move forward on a trial. The Democratic leader still wants to hear testimony from acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, former national security adviser John Bolton, senior adviser to the acting White House chief of staff Robert Blair, and Office of Management and Budget official Michael Duffey.
To Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), that sounds like Schumer doesn't have a whole lot of confidence in the case that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi presented. The House voted to impeach Trump on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress a few weeks ago, but Pelosi is withholding those articles from the Senate.

"Essentially he's saying we need to do more investigating," Rep. Green said of Schumer. "If you listen real clearly, what he's saying is, 'Hey Nancy, you failed. You failed to make the case and so now we've got to do more investigations.'"
He has a point and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made the same observation a few weeks ago at the Heritage Foundation. If Schumer and the Democrats think they still need to hear more testimony, then why on Earth did they forge ahead with the House vote anyway?
"If they don't believe they've developed their factual record, they have every tool at their disposal to say, 'Gosh Chuck Schumer's given me a list of four witnesses we want, we're going to go get those witnesses' testimony,'" Cruz reasoned.
"The Senate Democratic leader would apparently like our chamber to do House Democrats’ homework for them," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell added.

With the Supreme Court agreeing to hear President Trump's case on executive privilege of his tax records, the Obstruction of Congress Article of Impeachment should be seen as obliterated. Pelosi's overly exuberant attack was so broad as to be against the Office of the Presidency also. It must disappear. Either way, look for a charge relating to that attack to go against at least Nadler, Schiff and Pelosi as it pertains their designs in the on-going coup of the last 3-5 years (or more).
It wouldn't be reasonable to get testimony from those four then launch into even more Articles of Impeachment, though that's exactly what the Democrats might do. They apparently see it in their interest to keep a dark cloud over PDJT as they've weaponized impeachment to influence the 2020 election and to keep PDJT from naming a replacement for an incapacitated RBG.

Are they holding out for RBG to kick? Once the President is exonerated or the case dismissed they can’t make the argument he’s “impeached”.

Upchuck Scumbag has forgotten that during the Clinton impeachment he was all against having witnesses during the Senate trial.
Schumer and the dems really don’t want witnesses or more documents in the senate. This is a 2 part strategy.... 1) Give Nancy an excuse to hold the articles of impeachment....... 2) Make the senate look unfair to take some of that off the dems in the house.
Theynhave already concluded investigations and bipartisanly voted to pass two articles of impeachment.
Investigations are over.

Since there was nothing there against Trump and known to be fabricated, it was a failure from the very start.
Pelosi could have simply stopped the whole circus. She hates Trump but couldnt stop her partisans/fellow-travelers from carrying through with a blatant miscarriage of Justice.
Now she abuses her position to try to cover up the whole travesty and is making the democrats look ridiculous and worse.
She needs to go. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO MAKE HER GO.
