See my post 36. The same pastor also talks about how we have to change our wording sometimes to fit society. “Of course we are an Evangelical church. However - society has twisted that term into something bad - as if we are trying to ram Christ down someone’s throat. So we try to stay away from that term. But of course we are Evangelical in the true sense of the word.”
Our church (and now many others) is involved in a lot of the local schools and through our programs have turned those kids around. Stuff like 60% passing rates to 98% passing rates. A hundred of suspensions a year to three. The big-city mayor and the principals are asking for more help in more schools by our church and others. All without being able to mention God or Christ to the kids. But they know.
I definitely agree as well. However, the pope should present it as a suggestion and not as an authority on that scripture because that is not what it says.
I guess the great commission is over with. I didn’t realize there was an expiration date on the commands of Christ.
Yes he did, in fact...
I’d take a quote on that.
I’d take a quote on that.
I am not very religious at all, but this “pope” is a horror story for the church. How did the college of Cardinals select this guy?? Are they blind, stupid, or just as dangerous as him?? The catholic church needs a new revolution.
Look up St Gallen’s mafia.
Here is one of tons of articles that outlines what this pope is working for...
Your pope will still make the false claim that the Catholic Church is the one true (bible based, christian) church so you're in good hands there...Your pope is pushing the false idea that all religions are of God since they all worship 'something up there' that they perceive as God...The only group not included in your pope's united, one world religion is the Protestant church...And that's because we read and believe the bible an as a result we know what your pope is up to...And we know the end of things which are layed out in the scriptures...
Whether your pope is a false prophet or the last false prophet we will soon find out...He is preparing the world for the arrival of the gentleman written about in Revelation 13...And while Rev. 13 may seem cryptic to those who don't study the scriptures, there's enough in there that is easily understandable to show what the Catholic pope is up to...I recommend you read it...
****Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.****
There were no qualifiers in that statement. No equivocations. Just straight up GET IT DONE!
Teaching is always done best with example.
And he expressly says teaching them to observe what they, the Christians, do.
Jesus sent 11 men to martyrdom converting non-believers; He thought it was important enough for that.
The Communist Pope spews again!
I’m not disputing the converting, I’m disputing the hard-sell method of conversion. Jesus himself flashed miracles before asking nonbelievers to believe.
Just don’t know.

The most basic point has always been that there is one True Faith, and that without accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God there is no salvation; Jesus Himself said the way to the Father is through Him.
Do you get the impression this pope believes that? When non-Christians are offended by that message, the Catholic hierarchy walks it back - and prevents those non-Christians, ACCORDING TO JESUS HIMSELF, from attaining salvation.
Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Gal 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Living the good life is not going to convince many...Tons of unsaved live good moral lives and they will end up in hell...
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Luk 9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Luk 9:3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
Luk 9:4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
Luk 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
People normally do not respond by watching how someone else lives...They respond to the words of the scriptures...It places a burden on their inner man...
The Pope was hooking class when this scripture was being taught. LOL!!
How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! - Romans 10:14-15
Unless the Pope was taken out of context, it's clear that he is ignorant of the Word and he is no being led by the Holy Spirit who is in agreement with the Word!
To the JEWS...Because they required signs and wonders to believe...
1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
The False Prophet?
