They would go after his business dealings and find some excuse to try and then imprison him as a private citizen campaign loser. That would be strongly supported by the Deep state all the way, too. Southern District Court of New York was ready if they did it.
Remember all the talk a few months ago about "So long as he is President there are things we cannot do yet" "Once out of office he can be indicted." "You can do that to a sitting President but once he leaves office there are plans...."
