“Surrender is not to make a decision. It is to give up your individual will.”
And to give up your individual will (or anything else) is not a decision?
Words have meaning. Use them correctly, and wisely and you would have a much clearer and more convincing argument.
You lose yourself (and anyone you’re trying to influence) in a fog of vaguely defined terms.
This is why Jesus spoke in parables. The experience is beyond words of description unless the person has also experienced it. Then no words are necessary.

Thank you, I have been trying to put that point across to everyone I know for decades. It seems that people will argue for hours rather than realize that what they are actually saying is often the opposite of what they mean to say. Often when they DO realize it their only response is, “Well, you know what I mean.” Rather than accept responsibility for not clearly expressing their meaning they try to blame the listener for being hard to get along with.
