To: Quality_Not_Quantity

“I am so tired of people thinking that being edgy, controversial, outrageous, blasphemous, etc. is any sort of a substitute for actual humor.”

There are many who do not know how to be funny without insulting someone or some group.

Like they say;”It ain’t funny unless it hurts someone”.

I think people sometimes laugh at such 'stuff' as much out of embarrassment as anything else - or don't have any other reactions in their bags of emotions to draw on. It's like the increasing propensity to go straight to anger when any negative thing enters one's life - having never been taught what other & more appropriate emotions would have been better employed.
