The only places remaining in Virginia that any future gun control laws will have any effect is where all the libtards live. The rest of us (or at least most of us) are now in our Sanctuaries.

My county, Fauquier, is waffling as the liberal bureaucrats want gun control and confiscation so bad they can taste it but the deplorables have a strong representation and might turn out in force for an election if this issue is pushed.
It is a catch 22. The socialists can’t get their way without total control but need to get rid of the guns to get total control. And they aren’t strong enough to get their way, yet.
Fauquier is slowly going the way of Fairfax.

Conservatives - 2A Supporters - Constitution Supporters from Virginia ... I do not want to see anything happen to any one of them. That includes one of them spraining an ankle slipping off a curb.
Liberals - Democrats - Progressives - Refugees - Immigrants - RINOs - GOPe ... that have voted for this and voted for 3 radical Leftist DAs, in NoVa, I do not care what happens to any of you
Cops - Deputy Sheriffs - Federal Agents - National Guard .... any of you that take part in any of this, in support of the Dem’s plans on gun confiscation/registration, I do not care what happens to any of you, b/c there will be more than any of us would like to think, that will gladly enforce these laws, if passed.
That being said, I hope that Northam and his cohorts pass all these laws and then they realize that no one is going to help them. They’ll just sit there, throwing a temper tantrum, triggered that no one is listening to them. Like that picture of the girl with the glasses that everyone uses.
No lawsuits against their laws. Nothing. Just folks going about their business as if nothing is happening. Amazing that these politicians and the AG say the people can’t ignore these laws,while at the same time they’ll all ignore federal immigration laws.
If/when this happens, just as Soros has poured money into Virginia to get this going, he and Bloomberg will start working on getting rid of the Sheriffs. Counties/cities/towns, on the side of the 2A, will soon start seeing folks move into their neighborhoods that they’ve never seen before. There will be a concerted effort to get rid of Sheriff’s like the one in Culpepper County, that is willing to deputize anyone that is qualified.
This is a test run for what will be coming if, God Forbid, one of those loony Dem’s win in November 2020.

I had once considered Virginia a state to retire to, but no more.

That was good for a laugh, but it is stunning how stupid our reps are. I remember when I looked up to them. That time is gone.
Many thousands are of like mind, but will not speak out.
In fact, many thousands may actually take up arms against the state.

Hopefully they will feel the wrath of the citizens in the next election.

Yes, a governor can call up his state’s National Guard. But I think only the president can “federalize” the Guard.
And that would lead to an interesting situation. Suppose the Virginia governor activates the Guard to confiscate guns. Then President Trump federalizes the Guard, and tells them to stand down. Then what?
I think the Guard stands down. The president as commander-in-chief outranks any state governor.
