Johnsons passing was confirmed by the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He had been in declining health and entered hospice care earlier this week.

The Last American Hero.
An American legend and indicative of an era now past. Not many of us born in his birth year 1931 left.
It's actually 421, which runs up past Wilkesboro through Boone and into Tennessee to Bristol. Close, though. 321 connects to 421 in Boone and runs together with it for a bit toward Tennessee.

Next time I’m at the HOF I will ask them about a JJ poster.
They have 19 floors and I get access to 4 of them.
A pic is all.
Oops, I didn’t scroll back. thanks.
115 has a cult restaurant I believe in Hiddenite.
The architecture is unreal.
Yellow deli
Check out the PC left arm.
A man way ahead of the curve!
If by cult you mean.. “chain”. They are a chain hq’d in Chatt, TN.... with franchises along the stoner path-— Katoomba AUS, Oneonta,NY, Boulder (of course), Chilliwack CA, Nelson,BC/CA, Vista,CA,....30 years ago chatt, tn interesting, only re-started from 30 years ago, under “new” non federal prison management.
Won’t see the real places on the net. Yellow deli is on 90 in NC.
Hell of a drivers open window Left Arm Tan! Lot of wheel time, from the time the photo taken, mostly in daylight. From before then running unbonded, always at night (and a neon tan, pasty white, then).
Gone to that Cadillac Ranch in the sky ...
While some of that no doubt is a tan, the majority of it is just good old southern red dirt. Hickory Speedway was a dirt track until 1967.
