The house taken over by the GOP could pass a resolution making the impeachment like it never happened.

If the DEMs were to lose the House in 2020, they could send the impeachment to the Senate after the election if they hadn't done so already.

Just imagine if the House sent the articles over after the 2020 election, and the Senate voted to remove. And Trump is inaugurated in January 2021. Pence could be president for a couple months then turn things back over to Trump. He'd be the 45th and 47th president!

Of course that won't happen, but it's possible.
