There are a lot of knuckleheads on this forum that cant see what you are saying. Impeachment is a process. It is not complete until it is filed in the Senate. Once the House submits the articles to the Senate, then the Senate takes up the case.
At this point the Senate has no jurisdiction. Why? Because at this point Trump has not been impeached. Once there is a formal impeachment the Senate has sole Jurisdiction to try it.
You cant claim that Trump is impeached if the Senate has no jurisdiction to try it. The House has to file it with the Senate.
Agreed. I also see it as a constitutional process that Pelosi has curtailed. How is it different than passing a bill in the house and then refusing to send it to the senate? The speaker of the house is effectively pocket vetoing it.
