The rules have been there. They were in place when you took up your articles. They were the same when you passed your articles.
The House nor its officers does not make the rules for the Senate.
Failure to transmit causes these articles to die at the end of this House session.

My S-I-L has worked in a Private Prison full of Male Illegal Invader Criminals for over ten years. The stories she has told me over the years are amazing. She has dealt with some unique situations including a full blown Prison Riot.
The Facility had a BOP Contract that was not renewed, so ICE cam along and now they have a Contract with them as a Detention Center.
A whole new set of Rules and they are now housing both Men and Women. She says it is more difficult dealing with both Sexes and the convoluted Government Rules that came along with it.

I can't either. I only worked in all-male facilities. Started at Auburn Correctional. I spent a little over 3 years there, then transferred to Marcy, New York in December 1983. Mario Cuomo was dumping the psychiatric centers out, and some of them were turned into prisons. I was born in Rochester, NY, but my then husband and I moved with our two sons to the Utica/Rome area in 1972. I got divorced in 1979, and moved with my boys to Auburn to take the job in 1980.
I was lucky when I got promoted to Sergeant in 1989, because at the time the prisons were overcrowded, and they were double-bunking them in various facility gyms across the State. Ours was one of them. I managed to be promoted at my home facility, so I didn't have to go downstate toward NY City in order to take the promotion. I never would have wanted to work with female inmates, and that's probably what would have happened if I'd had to go downstate for the promotion. I was one of the fortunate ones. Cudos to your S-I-L. May the Lord keep her safe. When I started, there were only 2 other female officers working at Auburn. One of them is still a close friend. I meet her and her husband once a month at Turning Stone Casino which is about 20 minutes from me.

exactly- and again, the people in government no longer work for we the people- they are an entity unto themselves for themselves, by themselves- All they are concerned with is their idiotic power struggle to come out on top- so they can then lord it over al of us like obama did to us by weaponizing the IRS against conservatives, destroying marriage, etc- they are now weaponizing impeachment- no longer is there a requirement that high crimes be committed- they just bring articles of impeachment based on idiotic biased liberal agenda, to thwart the will of the people when a republican president is in office now-

Exactly- they will scream about the senate being in collusion with a ‘corrupt impeached president’, and make their case to the people that they couldn’t ‘get a fair trial in the senate because republicans are so corrupt that they are protecting a criminal at all costs’
They will bill it as a ‘Constitutional Crisis’

I’m not so sure- IF so, they are colossally stupid- They had to know that they were going to be fired by the people who elected them come November, (In red states I mean)- Nancy knew this would happen- which is weird that she decided to go for impeachment- She’s a despicable person morally, but one thing she isn’t is stupid- politically i mean- Something else3 is up- they weighed the consequences and decided it was worth declaring war on the American voters- Knowing full well that they will suffer loses- big loses in the midterms- Republicans suffered big time in the midterms when they impeached clinton, and polls show that independents and even some liberals are turning against impeachment and supporting hte president over this
Something is up with the left and i fear it’s going to get very ugly- very nasty with them declaring all out war politically against the people-
I had thought about your scenario too- getting nancy in as president- but that is such a huge massive long-shot and i think they have to know that overturning the will of the people in such a blatant, vindictive nasty manner will expose them as fraudulent for decades to come, and would mean massive losses in midterms and for presidency-
I’m no political guru or anything- but I have to believe that they aren’t stupid enough to totally undermine the voter’s will like that- but of course i could be wrong about them- I think though they have some ‘rule changing’ ‘legal’ loophole way of declaring a ‘constitutional crisis’ in order to try to regain voter support come midterms-
