I'm sure that's the reason the majority of them who supported impeachment wanted it. They don't know how it works, and they are unaware that it is actually a remedy against a president who has actually committed crimes. They believe it's a way to overturn an election when it didn't go their way.
It’s also why I wasn’t keen on impeaching Clinton.
I would much rather have had Clinton as POTUS, than Gore.
