“I think we’re going to have to call a mistrial before it even gets over to the Senate”

good gosh, what a dumbass:

1. Who’s “we”?

2. Why does “we” get to “call a mistrial”?

3. And what do you think “we” “calling a mistrial” will actually result in?

I would assume only Chief Justice Roberts could call a mistrial. if you want to play by trial rules, Roberts could rule that the impeachment procedure was prejudiced from the start and exculpatory evidence was denied entry into the record and dismiss the charges with prejudice.
