Just as before, looking carefully at history, (as you are saying), and while there were significant numbers of people on both sides, arguably the majority of women in Russia were left wing to hard left wing, and supported the Bolshevics and revolution.
They also focused huge effort on overthrowing and grabbing control of the power centers — press, banking, infrastructure, education, lines of communication etc...
