Oakland Co. partnering with Planned Parenthood, approves $500K for reproductive health care

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland County Board of Commissioners has approved $500,000 for Title X reproductive health care services in Oakland County through Planned Parenthood.

The board says it took the action as a result of new rules imposed by the Trump Administration.

Title X is a federal program that provides family planning and reproductive health care services to low-income individuals, including preventative services, breast and cervical cancer screenings, treatment of STIs, education, counseling and contraception.

“If the president is going to turn his back on women’s health care, Oakland County will not,” said Board Chairman David T. Woodward. “With these dollars, thousands will be able to continue to get the reproductive health care they want and need from Planned Parenthood.”

Southeast Michigan is my region and I am behind enemy lines now.

Oakland County was a tree and shrub covered undeveloped wilderness until the whites moved away from African Americans by the most pronounced example of White Flight in the country.. Now City of Detroit liberal attitudes were carried with them and they donate to the AIDS Quilt Project (2000s), feminist women only scholarship funds, support LGBTQ, welcome illegal aliens “One Human Family” banners at churches and synagogue lawns and so on. Also climate change nonsense.

If killing innocent babies in the womb or on a medical tray
while the “doctor and the woman have a serious discussion for her to make a decision” on letting the baby die of neglect or working to let him or her live,is something worthy of tax dollars they’ll have to prove that.

I don’t live there but would be just as helpless to stop this travesty. The political bosses and virtue signalling types rule the little people.

He once said long ago "What we need to end the influx of rampant crime from Detroit into our neighborhood is to build a wall along Eight Mile Road." (border of City of Detroit and civilized suburbs beyond.)
