Because having girls learning to hike, pitch tents, back, pack is not wholesome for male mormons. Women have a place in their culture. It is not in Scouting.
Coed Scouting ( which exists in every other member of the World Scouting Association except the islamic dominated ones) is a threat to mormon masculinity.
Q. What is blue and comes in brownies?
A. Cub Scouts, camping in the woods with girls
Yeah, most countries have co-ed scouting. They also have Socialism and take guns from citizens. No thanks.

My wife grew up as a Mormon. She did Brownies, Girl Scouts, etc. all through the Mormon Church. And since she was an AF Brat, she did this all over the country at different stakes.
And Yes, she did camping, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, etc., pretty much everything the boys did.
My church body (Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod) ended its relationship with the Boy Scouts 4 years ago: https://blogs.lcms.org/2015/boy-scouts-of-america-update
I led a group of Scouts to the bi-annual Blair Athol jamborette in 2000. (http://www.jamborette.org.uk/ ) At the time, only the Philippines and the US had boys only Scouting. I led a breakout group to talk with the Scouts about the differences in Scouting around the world. The main thing is that all these Socialist countries removed God from the Scout Oath.
I am not Mormon. The assault on Scouting is an attack on Christianity. They won. You need to open your eyes.
No, coed scouting is a threat to common sense.
Teaching girls about outdoor stuff is why Girl Scouts was created.
I'm Lutheran, just so you don't go off in some other ridiculous direction.
#11 the girls should be in he kitchen tent cooking : )
Plus sweeping up the grounds : )
Girl Scouts used to do that. They killed that when the far left leadership said stay at home moms are bad role models, we don’t want women like that in leaderships. These are the women who were mostly likely to have several years of leadership experience and went camping for family vacations.
This resulted in a lot of working moms put in leadership. Guess what badges they led? Stress relief, cooking, the occasional political activism badge. The troops got smaller from the departures to less liberal alternatives, and the girls who wanted to DO stuff started screaming, “I want to join the Boy Scouts” instead of “Bring back the fun moms!”
Girl Scout alternatives like American Heritage Girls are still hiking, camping and respecting conservative values.
