Interesting that Nadler adjourned things abruptly last night and with no explanation, just minutes before reaching the summit.
And crickets this morning.
I sense something is up. I don’t think the Dems have the votes (or perhaps only have 1-2 votes at this point to spare); and I think there is talk among the Dems as to whether it make sense to bring this to a vote.
Just a hunch.
I thought the committee resumes at 10am where they will vote.
Nadler pulled that move because he wanted live TV and a full day of MSM talking about the vote.
On the other hand... I'm sure the Britain election results have to be weighing heavily on a few minds.
There are two outcomes from this:
1) It gets defeated. Pelosi is completely humiliated, communist rank and file are demoralized and the political ramifications are up in the air.
2) It narrowly passes. Communist rank and file are jubilant, but deplorables are energized. It possibly finishes off Democrats’ chances at the WH in 2020 and possibly costs them the House.
I think there’s enough political uncertainty about either option that Pelosi whips as many votes as she needs. Also, she has a history of flushing away her majority by making vulnerable Democrats cast stupid votes.
I predict censure and this ends today.
