Studying scripture, keeping kosher etc is very hard, it’s much easier to make your own weird, secular religion “advancing progressivism” and fetishizing the historical chips on your shoulder, driving other groups apart, etc.
I’m a Jew, believe in god and pray, don’t go to temple, love bacon and am a Republican:-)
