I’ve been asking myself that for years. I have some in my own extended family who reflexively vote dem in every election, but when pressed they can’t come up with a good reason why they do this.
You’ve got it. I don’t know how many freepers have lived and worked around rank and file Democrats. An article like this makes no sense to Dems. The article assumes everyone wants freedom. Freedom comes with responsibilities and consequences. Dems don’t want that because Democrats (all of them) are at their core, immoral.
And the Republican candidate was Mitt Romney..
But that’s about it.
Why? A proper public school education experience. Democrats play the long game quite well too.

Why would anyone vote for a Dem (meaning Marxism and all its derivatives) at any level? There is no logic to what they sell, but tens of millions vote for them anyway. Even the “free stuff” argument fails, because what handouts you might get from the government are never much compared to what you get by working. So I don’t think the answer is free stuff. I think the answer is laziness combined with hedonism.

Some tax payers want free stuff and those who do not pay any tax want everything free.
