Guaranteed he would get sufficient compliance out of National Guard to make things messy.

I read about a sheriff who was planning on deputizing each and every law-abiding citizen in his county. Under the law proposed, the gun bans exclude LEO’s. Thus, everyone is excluded. WIN.
Say the Democrats change the law to disarm LEO’s. Unworkable, and gives citizens further parity with Law Enforcement. WIN.
If I were these sanctuary counties at the instance of the first raid in the state and especially if they arrested any local law enforcement or elected county official for failure to comply I would have my law enforcement find the Virginia State Police officers stationed in that county and detain them indefinitely until all local sheriff’s, leo’s or detained county leaders were released by gov. blackface.
If they began calling up the Guard I would also let it be known if they fire on Virginia citizens they will be arrested in that county, held in jail and prosecuted. If the Virginia Commonwealth attorneys refuse to cooperate arrest them and hold them as well. I would also let gov. blackface know, do not set foot in our county ever again.
These people are wanting to force a war upon law abiding, peaceful people, at some point you just have to say no to the tyrants. This could get really messy, really fast.
