“There was no evidence that political bias influenced the investigation.”
Of course there’s no evidence, because you can’t prove a person’s state of mind. This is just like Comey saying Hillary Clinton mishandled data, but they couldn’t prove intent.
Duh! Of course not - how can you possibly prove intent, short of a confession?

Oh well, I think this hearing is serving a good purpose - it’s putting the Democrats on the defensive for the first time - and they have a very weak defense.
