The "Fuzzy Math" and "Sight Reading" methods taught in government schools work against the smarter and more motivated students.

The methods do, however, provide a way for progressive teachers to ensure that slower and unmotivated students are promoted in system that encourages ignorance and tolerates misbehavior.

(Some) charter schools, private schools and home-schooling are the way to go if you can financially swing it.

The brighter students are restless, and with Advanced Placement now being declared "racist", they are drugged insensible.

If Sheldon Leonard was in today's public schools, he'd be lobotomized, as an attempt at "fairness".
