I can see why many people find him to be “unpresidential” at these campaign rallies. I don’t care much for the style - but for many (most?) others he gets their attention. (And I remind myself that these ARE rallies - not some Presidential proclamation. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has hired professional marketers to hone some of this style to reach younger people and create excitement.

Once in awhile I catch the sports radio guys. I guess that major league baseball is thinking about increasing the player’s presence on social media to create more interest (and controversy - which creates more interest). I guess basketball already uses it - with players amped up, dissing opponents, etc. to create exposure.

I’ve seen/read that during the first televised debate between Kennedy and Nixon, Kennedy used the new medium to his advantage with makeup and his good looks. Nixon was probably the smarter politician, but didn’t realize how the new technology worked.

I think Trump gets it, and is also the smarter leader!
