I’ve finally seen a Tesla in the wild as it were, this happened late in the summer. Saw another one perhaps six weeks ago, pointed it out to my sister (she’s driving some kind of Ecoboost Ford and is mad that they were discontinued).
When I had to rent a car (I used a service analogous to AirBNB, uh, Turo it’s called) out here in The Boonies I noticed a Tesla was available, but the daily rental was more than the amount I paid for the compact IC engined car for the entire period I needed it. The Tesla owner was however willing to deliver it here, so I flirted with the idea. When it gets closer to the time I plan to buy a vehicle, I’ll probably rent the guy’s Tesla to try it out. :^)
