To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Well, in High School Band, we played Great Gate of Kiev.

So I know it is pronounced Kee’-ev.

This is way back, before public education was ruined.

Sure, that’s the American pronunciation, which is perfectly fine, but these Congressmen gotta go Ukrainian or Russian and be ethnically and Russian-linguistically correct.

Hey...same here except mostly grammar school band....played coronet...bandmaster also in love with marches & overtures.
Great Gate of Kiev (we pronounced it as you said) had something for every instrument.
