It’s ludicrous that the SCOTUS would even consider tasking a case like that.

Democrats and liberals simply put, want to force everyone to comply with their ideas of how life should be and they are willing to use the force of law (IOW, the government) and threats of jail time and fines to accomplish it.

They want to make everything they disagree with illegal.

Little tyrants, all.

Freedom of speech, the free exchange of ideas, and the relentless search for truth--truth for its own sake--are fundamental to Western Civilization. They are responsible for all the great scientific achievements and other achievements of Western Civilization, from space exploration to safe blood transfusion, from concepts of the basic rights of mankind to opera, from the conquest of polio to the Normandy Invasion, from the abolition of slavery to everything around and in between.

Unfortunately, Western Civilization is in an advance state of decadence. Moral rot and decay are at the dark heart of the decadence, and among the worst of these are contempt for truth and contempt for the freedom to seek truth.

The Left ("progressivism," "liberalism" --whatever the nom du jour) is the sickness resulting from the decadence, from the moral rot and decay.

Contempt for freedom of speech, for the free exchange of ideas, and for truth itself and freedom itself are basic to the moral rot and decay and to the Left.

This is why the Left is totalitarian. Its basis is contempt for liberty and truth.

In fact, the Left has only contempt for Western Civilization.

And note that the basis of the Left is contempt--hatred. It is not a movement based on love, charity, truth, or justice; on the contrary, its basis is hate, anger, greed, envy, self-indulgence, and moral rot and decay.

The Left is the symptom of the decadence of Western Civilization.

It might not be so ludicrous if the SCOTUS rules by an overwhelming majority or unanimously that NR has the right to express its opinion, because this is EXACTLY what the 1st Amendment is about - freedom of speech. It would put a stake through the heart of efforts to control speech from the national level down to tiny municipalities, HOAs and individual school districts.

I hope that they take this case, because I see no other result than a win for the 1A.
