The latter will never happen.
If the evidence against Trump was really overwhelming, he would be told to resign to spare the Senate the ordeal of voting to remove him.
Democrats have nothing. And in a Senate trial, they don’t run the show.
Let them do their worst.
Just remember that in 230 years of our glorious Republic no President HAS EVER been removed from office by the Senate.
