AG Bar could stop this dead in his tracks. What is he waiting for?
Exactly what I was thinking! Maybe they are waiting for all these guys to get done.
It needs to be closer to election season. And unless this actually becomes a real true threat it very well could be an advantageous tactic. Both sides of this is all about the election. :)

Think of it like a high stakes poker game, and you have an unbeatable hand. What do you do?
You keep a poker face and behave in a manner that does not signal to the other players what you have in your hand. You make only small bets and raises in order to try and build the pot up. You react to other players in such a way as to encourage them to believe they have the winning hand.
I believe President Trump is entirely innocent of any wrongdoing that could possibly rise to anything close to justifying his removal. In addition I believe the President knows all of the details of what crimes the Democrats and other other deep state coconspirators committed leading up to and following the 2016 election. That means he has the truth on his side and his adversaries do not - in other words he has a very strong poker hand.
For three years, I believe President Trump has been playing a poker game, knowing he has a Royal straight flush, but trying to hide that fact in order to build the pot up. That means allowing the other players to believe his hand is weaker than it is. That means submitting to the Mueller investigation. That means submitting to these House impeachment hearings. That means letting his enemies believe they have him on the ropes.
If President Trump had ordered his AG and DOJ to “stop this dead in his tracks” in 2017, it would have been the equivalent of calling the bets and throwing his royal straight flush down - he would have won that hand but with very little in the pot. His adversaries would still have their money tucked safely in their wallets.
Three years later, the pot is huge. The coup perpetrators have continued to engage in coverups, have continued to spy and otherwise weaponize intel resources, have continued to suborn perjury, have continued to illegally leak classified information to the press, have continued to conspire to remove a duly elected POTUS. ALL of which is illegal.
Back to the poker analogy, the President’s adversaries have put everything they own into the pot and now they are reaching out to borrow from nefarious sources in order to double down.
Trump won’t play his hand until his adversaries have bet everything they own and have borrowed all they can from very bad people.
