Hence the problem. Despite the progress, enlightenment, material well being, improvements in infrastructure, education, health care, agriculture, water supplies, nutrition etc . etc that the Jews brought and developed in the region for everyone, the Arabs will never give the Jews peace.
An ironic aside from this American’s experiences. Whenever a “Palestinian” born in Israel is met here in America, it is very obvious how avidly they adapt to American institutions,opportunities and customs. Compared to many other immigrant groups they quickly prosper. It would seem that before they migrated they learned and incorporated quite a bit from their Jewish neighbors. The tragedy is that somehow the true benefits of peace and interaction cannot be achieved in the Holy Land due to the implacable hatred. Yet as mentioned before, it is not the job or duty of Americans to sacrifice blood or treasure getting entangled in this hopeless dispute. American involvement has created implacable enemies for America and has not mitigated the dispute or helped them achieve some sort of consensus.

Nobody has asked Americans to sacrifice blood. No such blood was sacrificed for Israel. The Marines in Beirut died keeping the PLO safe from Israelis, under stupid ROE that made it impossible for them to even keep peace. For all of me, we should not have been stopped. As for the treasure, I’d as soon you kept that, too, but it doesn’t amount to all that much compared to other American financial involvements.
As for getting entangled in this dispute, you’re not a party to it. Previous POTUSes got involved in making peace between Jooos! and Palis for the benefit of Saudi Arabia, who must pay constant extortion to Pali hustlers like Arafat and Abu Mazen. In lieu of the money, they want a fiefdom here. What benefit that is to Palis or Jooos!...? Who cares. We’ll say that it’s about piece in the Middle East. Welcome to Area A.
