A group of black state lawmakers are calling for New Jersey to examine its historic role in slavery and possibly pay reparations to its black residents.
Leaders of the states Legislative Black Caucus on Thursday introduced a bill that would establish the New Jersey Reparations Task Force.
If approved, the panel would research the history of slavery in the Garden State, any racial discrimination and disparity that stemmed from it, and how the state could help make up for it.

If a black person truly wants reparation, the only reparation deserved is a one-way ticket back to Africa after a denouncement of U.S. citizenship. Those that refuse reparations are indeed upright and decent U.S. citizens.
Parts of Nj were actually below the Mason/Dixon line.
I have an idea. Let the blacks take a DNA test to establish where in Africa that they are descended from. Then look at the average annual income from that area. Then compare it to what they make here (including govt handouts). If they would make more over there, then give them a X number of years payout. If they make more here, then tax the overage for X years. Seems pretty fair to me.
