By one tweet, Trump changes the conversation and takes the attention away from the Democrats plan. They will now chase the laser pointer and go after witness intimidation. He is redirecting attention and causing them to stray from their plan. It may look bad but it is a tactic that Trump has used over and over again so that he is in control of the press.

In defense of Fox, folks like Wallace give us an indication of what the CNN types are going to run with. It is important to hear that.

If perjury isn’t impeachable then a truthful tweet doesn’t even if perceived as intimidation shouldn’t be either.

Tweet "intimidation?"

By this definition, just releasing the actual transcripts of telephone calls will intimidate the witnesses who were going to testify about them.

From the NY Post:

Minutes later [after Trump's tweets], Rep. Adam Schiff, who is heading the probe, read portions of Trump’s tweets and asked the career diplomat to respond.

“I mean, I, I don’t think I have such powers, not in Mogadishu and Somalia and not in other places. I actually think that where I’ve served over the years, I and others have demonstrably made things better, you know, for the US as well as for the countries that I’ve served in,” Yovanovitch said.

“Ukraine, for example, where there are huge challenges including, you know, on the issue that we’re discussing today of corruption, huge challenges, but they have made a lot of progress since 2014, including in the years that I was there and I think in part, I mean the Ukrainian people get the most credit for that, but a part of that credit goes to the United states and to me as the ambassador.”

Schiff then asked her what effect the live tweets were having on her.

“It’s very intimidating. I mean, I can’t speak to what the president is trying to do, but I think the effect is trying to be intimidating,” she replied."

How can this be "witness intimidation" when Trump sent the tweets while Yovanovitch was on witness stand in the process of testifying? She would not have known about the tweets until after she testified if not for Schiffhead reading the tweets to her as part of his Q & A. Seems to me that the only person guilty of witness intimidation is Schiffhead.
