I don’t know if Heck served time in the military, but he was making the analogy that the Ambassador served in dangerous Somolia, and his brother served in Vietnam and was killed, age 34, so yes he is emotional. And I have a son with 21+ years in 82nd airborne and mostly Special Forces, 9 months in Gulf War 1, and 2 tours in Afghanistan. And YES, I don’t blame him.

Do you remember the old Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies? It’s crazy but just the tiny bit of observing Schiff, he reminds me of the Chief Inspecter who went off his rocker and started world annihilation to get rid of Sellers character.
Hes trying to get the President impeached. He’s not there to cry about his personal losses it’s an emotional ploy
